Roxie and Earl Brechlin

A life-long resident of Bar Harbor, Roxie has been teaching local children for several decades. She is presently a kindergarten teacher at the Connors School in Bar Harbor. The mother of two children, both educators, she is also active in civic organizations including the YWCA, the local library and her church. She is always willing to chat about Mount Desert Island’s many shopping opportunities.

A resident of Bar Harbor for nearly 30 years, Earl is the editor of the award-winning Mount Desert Islander, weekly newspaper. He is a Registered Maine Guide and the author of several outdoor guide books and books on the state’s history. His hobbies include carpentry, model railroading and collecting antique postcards.
